ABOUT JARED
Jared Kahn was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. Growing up in a family that supported the arts, he found his calling when he picked up the guitar at age 12. By high school, Jared was band leader of his school’s exclusive rock band and spent his nights playing in clubs with musicians more than twice his age. By college, he was touring with bands, performing at famous venues, writing and producing his own music, while discovering his love for teaching through guitar lessons.
Soon after, an opportunity arose at a preschool and Jared found himself in a completely new musical world. He quickly realized that music education could be more than just guitar lessons and there was a way to bring songs, instruments, games, dancing, songwriting, and all of the things that he loved about music, into the classroom. While juggling college and various musical projects, a modern music education company, Jammin’ with Jared, was born.
Before moving to Los Angeles in 2017 to further pursue his musical dreams, Jared made his mark on the greater NYC area, creating a community of dedicated families and schools and released his first self-produced, original album of children’s music.
Today, Jared spends most days running music classes and events in parks, storefronts, schools and homes and managing his Jammin’ with Jared team. When he's not teaching the next generation of musicians, you can find him fishing at the beach, camping with his wife and dog, searching for the best tacos in LA, writing and producing music for TV/Film and performing with up and coming artists!
ABOUT JAMMIN’ WITH JARED
Jammin’ with Jared was founded with a mission: to keep music fun and interactive through songs that the whole family can enjoy, and to bring communities together through the universal language that is music! Jammin’ with Jared also operates with an emphasis on social, emotional and early childhood development, empowering children to connect, learn and grow. Over the years, Jared has delivered on these missions by creating a customized music curriculum that has connected with and taught the youngest minds about the magic of music.
Jammin’ with Jared has continuously pivoted to serve the needs of the community. When the world shut down in March 2020, what began as an in-classroom model, quickly evolved to virtual offerings. With over 30 hours of live virtual music classes, Jared provided kids and families a refuge for creativity, routine and fun amidst a time of great uncertainty.
As the world returned to a new normal, Jared was eager to return to the classroom, but this time, with an expanded roster of teachers and programs. Jammin’ with Jared now boasts a variety of music & arts courses for children of all ages - from pre-school to high school- taught
by entertainment industry professionals with a passion for education. Programs include guitar and ukulele lessons, music production, film making, photography and STEAM courses.
Jammin' with Jared LLC is now getting ready to celebrate it’s 10th year and has brought its unique program to thousands of children and dozens of school districts across US!
